Things have been hectic and I am not good at blogging in advance. I am making it up though, so this blog post on the letter G is about grace. I have talked about my faith and if you read through my blog you will know my faith is a big part of my life. The reason I have the faith that I do is all because of grace.
Grace is basically defined as God’s unmerited favor, through Jesus, to all people.
I wonder sometimes if most miss the “all people” part of that. All people. Not just a few. Not just the ones who made it to church on Sunday. Not just the ones who gave the most money. Not the ones who prayed the best prayers. But all people.
Ephesians 2:8-9 is one of the most beautiful verses in the Bible in my opinion and it’s my blog so it’s my opinion that matters. If you have a different opinion, get your own blog. 🙂
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. -Ephesians 2:8-9
See, it proves it right there. There is nothing we can do to earn it and it comes from God, through Jesus. So if I want to be like Jesus, then I have to live in grace, give lots of grace, and accept His grace. Lots and lots of grace.
Amazing Grace…it’s more than just a song. It makes the rest of it all possible.
